The Highwayman

He lived his life in the shadows
Destinied to die by the gallows
Waiting for the coach in his sights
Then the highway man strikes

Strikes fear as his victims shiver
Orders them to stand and deliver
With the threat of his gun
He will take the money and run

Soon he vanishes and is long gone
As if he was not there all along
Being there on this lonely road
Running with all of his gold

But another night he will be back
Again to fill up his empty sack
With gun in hand and mask on face
Robbing with all of his grace

And with everything he has bought
Soon he knows he will be caught
Just like church bells have rang
He knows soon he will hang

This is his life and his way
How he shall live out his day
Until the day they hang him up high
A highway man until he shall die

Spartacus

Come and follow me
And we will be free
To be slaves no more
No need to fight for
Rebel against men from Rome
And I will lead you home

We will have to fight
For what is our right
We will have to kill
Of death I'd had my fill
Follow me my fellow men
We are destinied to be free again

We strike back with our heart
Tearing our enemies apart
For freedom we will strike
Of us, Rome has never seen the like
I know that we will win
For I can sense our lives begin

I hang here over the Appian Way
Crucified for daring to be free this day
They may break my body but my soul lives on
I will still be remembered when my enemies are gone
I am still free and they will never ever understand
For soon I will be a free man at God's right hand

Gun Slinger

He rode into town on a black horse

Rode into town with death in his heart

He knew he had to live out his course

Knew his life always had death as a part

He strolled over towards the saloon

Looking for the man he hunted for so long

Knew they would come face to face soon

Punish him for the things he did wrong

Now in the street they are face to face

They know why they are here for

Watching, the people slowly pace

Waiting for when one will draw

Like a flash, out comes the gun

Like a flash, the bullet will fly

The gun blazes hot like the sun

And today a man has to die

The gun slingers' job is done

Another life is gone and burned

He now puts away the killing gun

And collects the money he earned

Freedom

He came to set his people free

To fight for he knew was right

He had to let them all see

To bring them into the light

Taught them how to protect their land

Made warriors out of humble men

To make battle and let them understand

To fight for freedom, again and again

Battled on in blood and in glory

Until the day he faced them all alone

And history will never forget his story

A man for until battle they did hone

They tried to break his spirit, his very soul

He defied the torture, the pain, the kingdom

Died with one word that continued to grow

A word that became immortal, a word called freedom
