Liquid Skies

Liquid skies come washing down
Sheltering under rainbow bridges
Diamond rain drops hit the ground
Golden umbrellas by sea blue ridges

Sun beams dance across the sky
Making the giant oak crack a smile
Little ants play in the purple grass
They walk an inch or a mile

A little pink bird sings her song
For the listening flowers to hear
The moon salutes the silver clouds
As the stars secretly begin to appear

Running To Nowhere

Silent runner across midnight sands
The moon glows with silvery strands
Spreading to touch the crashing waves
On a sea of a million sailors graves

Now washing the footprints away
As he runs towards the city
Never daring to run in light of day
Going nowhere with strange oddity

Now heading down empty streets
With black corners of the night
Never fearing those he meets
People who are afraid of the light

No one asks where is he going to
Because no one knows he is there
A lonely highway he runs onto
Heading off into the middle of nowhere

The Psychedelic Dream

I rode a golden chariot across the skies
Across the white clouds watching the Sun rise
Silver birds flew up to come and greet me
One purple dove flew as she was set free

I swam across the expanding Ocean of Hope
Multicoloured dolphins joined in my fun
We played in the waves that towered with scope
Under the beautiful heat that beamed from the Sun

I walked alone across the never ending land
Watching as a group of trees into the sky did extend
Then I felt someone come and take hold of my hand
So I am no longer alone for I now walk with my friend

Strange Lands Indeed

Close your eyes and come take my hand
As we take a walk across smiling crocodiles
Passing dancing penguins that wish us good morning
So they tilt up their top hats as they greet us

Green and yellow and purple striped tigers
Come bouncing by, chasing pink polka dot butterflies
Kings and Queens jump of of jack in a boxes
Laughing at the horse that has got two heads

You open your eyes and you can see the mad man
Trying to change the world as he writes down his poetry
Giggling to himself in his strange mixed up way
As he looks in the crystal mirror he looks just like me

Look up and watch the bumble bee as he chases the lady bird
The elephant driving in his bright red mini cab
You see the world of floating giant oak doors
And you know it is a shame the read world is on the other side

So we cross over the bridge of a magical rainbow
To where the Satyr dances with the pixie princess
But soon you will forget me and this place we visit
You wake up and the colour has changed to black and white

Pink Swan

He spotted the pink swan
Did the laughing hyena
As he giggled on the lawn
Because he had seen her

Mushroom Coffee

I drank a cup of mushroom coffee
With a friend, now long forgotten
We watched the walls change colour
From red to orange and to yellow
We laughed at the spider with too many eyes

I thought I saw my friend, fixing his van
But in reality, he had wandered upstairs
So I watched the TV and then it spoke
The voice seemed to be talking just to me
And then mister sandman fluttered nearby

My friend decided he wanted to take a walk
I agreed and I knew it was time to go home
And where I was amazed at technicoloured butterflies
My friend jumped away in alarm from the giant frogs
And I never drank a cup of mushroom coffee again

Invisible Rainbow

Midnight diamonds sparkling in the night
Silver rain drops prickling the skin
Treasured memories all locked away
An invisible rainbow, beauty never seen

Stolen kisses being all thrown away
Bitter hearts that are always tasted
Magic moments still waiting to be granted
And an invisible rainbow, beauty never seen

Pure emotions wrapped up in a sleeve
Forgotten minds that had no time thinking
Fragile butterflies now all crumpled up
And an invisible rainbow, beauty never seen

Desperate measures that go over the top
Yesterdays heroes that never went away
Tomorrows dawn that will not be glanced
With an invisible rainbow, beauty never seen

A Trip To Mars

I am going to take a trip to Mars
And I am going to face my battle scars
I am going to dance a Tango on the sea
Then invite a seagull for a cup of tea

I will share a joke with the Kings
And listen as the flower sings
Tickle a tiger to make him smile
Help a tortoise to walk a mile

Watch me jump off a tower and fly
Use a paint brush to colour the sky
Toast my bread upon the sun
Give a pink elephant a chocolate bun

Buy a ticket to the everlasting circus
Learn to conduct the dawn chorus
Wave hello to the hidden sailor
Buy a coat from the multi-coloured tailor

Then I will come knocking upon your door
Kiss you once then kiss you once more
I will swim forever within your eyes
Give you love, that will be no surprise
