Ellen

God took you with him the other day,
But I never got to say goodbye.
No longer will I see your smile,
Or again hear your kind words.

You were a long way from your home,
And now I know you are back there.
Your spirit running free and beautiful,
Your soul still tender and pure.

I wish I had known, but you never said.
You never told us what was wrong,
But the days lead into weeks;
And I realised you wasn't coming back.

Ellen, you never told us you had cancer,
That it was too advanced to save you.
The stomach cancer has taken you now,
But it can never take away your memory.

Never once did you say any cross word,
Your soft voice was always a comfort.
You offered support to all who knew you,
Always the best friend to everyone.

They too you far too soon, my friend.
You were only fifty years old, still young.
There is a place for you, always in my heart,
Go in peace for now you dance with Angels.

Germany

Grand country of much inside
Enduring with a gentle pride
Ready to play the great game
Marking football with a name
And music plays for all
Nations hear the songs call
Yet there is still more to come

America

Almighty God stands his station
Marking hope for this great nation
Eagles are soaring up high
Reaching out into the tallest sky
In dreams of cities all around
Climbing high from majestic ground
America preserves the fabulous dream

England

Each man and woman stand tall
Never allowing themselves to fall
Great things with each new aspect
Leaving more to follow in respect
All in glory as it was once before
New beginnings coming to the shore
Deep down there always is an England

Croatia

Come to Zagreb, the capital city
Reaching out with its great history
Open šljivovica, a good tasting wine
And other delicious ones just as fine
Take a journey to Rijeka port today
In Croatia, you will want to stay
Always welcoming you to visit

South Korea

Seoul is a beautiful city
Often alive in ancient simplicity
Ulsan, Gangwon and other places
Take you to a land, nature traces
Hyeonchung-il, remembering that day

Kindred souls passed on their way
Over the sea is this special land
Reaching out to take you by the hand
Even though this ocean is far apart
All this land will greet you with its' heart

One Day (Ode To George)

Please God, give me one more day.
Before you have to take me away.
So I can do things one last time.
While I am still in my prime.

One day to hold my child.
One day to just run wild.
One day to feel the rain on my face.
One day to be in my lovers' embrace.

One day to sing a favourite song.
One day so I can still be strong.
One day to be with a friend.
One day for my garden to tend.

One day to play one more game.
One day to still same my name.
One day to reflect back on my life.
One day to hold my beautiful wife.

One day so I can strum my guitar.
One day where my dreams go far.
One day and everything stays true.
One day to be able to thank you.

So please God, just give me one more day.
Before you have to take me away.
So I can at last let it be.
And for someone to forever remember me.

This was written on 1st December 2001, on reaction to the death of George Harrison on November 29th 2001. This is my tribute to him.

Twisted Grin

Well hello to you, hello there,
You might think I'm a bad guy;
Just because I kill a few people,
But you don't see this Jokers' heart.

Okay, that guy who dresses as a rodent!
Everyone seems to take his side.
Come on! A man dressed as a flying rat?
Do you think that man is still sane?

I'm not the crazy one, oh no!, believe me.
Don't let this pasty white skin and ruby lips fool you.
I'm the innocent guy here, I never wanted to look like this.
That Bat freak!, he created me, It's all his fault!

Thank you for agreeing to my interview, my side of things.
I only want to make people laugh, let's shake hands to that.
Oh deary me, I'm wearing that killer of a joy buzzer,
I bet you just die with laughter, it is a hell of a shock.

Oh well boys, you better clear up the mess, alas! poor reporter.
I didn't get to know him well, time to think of a few jokes.
I wonder what fun and games I can cause in Gotham City tonight.
As long as that damned Bat Man doesn't stop me! ha ha ha ha ha.

Three Kings

There is a bar high up in the sky
That only sells water and no rye
So come on in, and take a seat
This is where three kings come to meet

Then the stage will be made clear
They sing new songs for the Angels to hear
Finishing together with a song called Salvation
The Angels cheer and give a standing ovation

Holly then sings of ways that are true
A beautiful voice up in a sky of blue
And when he stops and must now part
I can feel it raining in my heart

So Presley takes his turn to sing
Telling us of fools rushing in
Music backed from a heavenly band
I wish they could hear it down in dixie land

Jackson is  last to take the stage then
Not one dry eye when he sings about Ben
Entertains everyone and they are dancing along
Then he ends with a beautiful earth song

If you listen carefully, you can hear them up there
Way up high, in a bar in the sky somewhere
So I know the music that Heaven brings
When together they sing, the three kings

The Time Has Come

The time has come to close the doors
To finally clean up the floors
To extinguish the stars, one by one
To put out the Sun, let it be gone

The time has come to shut all the books
To take your coat all from the hooks
To fill up all the opened holes
And boarder up all of the windows

The time has come to let the cat go out
To zip up the mouths so they no longer shout
To unravel and roll up the sky
And ask a question but never ask why

The time has come for memories to be laid to rest
To say a final goodbye and know you are blessed
For tears to flow, and wish you to a better place
Go to the stairs in the sky, for you will always go in grace

Thank You

Some say to me, you have a talent

I must be blind for I do not see it

I wonder have I tapped my own potential?

I write the words that flow through me

The only reward that I ever ask for

Is for my words to be read and measured

No amount of money could ever be enough

To show the respect I feel for those who come to read

To follow the words that I write

For if this is truely a gift that I have

Then it is a gift that flows from all of you

For without you, I would then be nothing

Just another unknown poet going unheard

I grow in strength knowing that everything I write

Is here to always to be read by you

And for that I give you my blessing

And the love granted by almighty God above

And let these last two words stand eternal

Thank you

Star

This pain I know you feel

And that no one can tell

The agony is so real

You hide it so very well

You suffer with a smile

You live out the day

You can hide it for a while

But it never goes away

A brave soul going on

Showing the World who you are

Even when this trouble is never gone

You shine brighter than any star

Soul Of A Fighter

They called him the greatest

He was just one man

With the soul of a fighter

He would always stand tall

Even when they took his title away

That man would never give up

Fight to entertain and not for war

He knew he would win once again

Over the years he won and he lost

And even then his soul continued to fight

Not just to box but also for his right

He is a hero, a fighter, soul of a man

Ritchie

Hey Ritchie, are you up there?

Are you listening from your cloud?

You were there always for me

I only wish I had been there for you

I valued that friendship you shared

You were there defending me

Even those computer games we played

I felt you used to let me win at times

We were grown men, refusing to grow up

We shared those times, good and bad

But then things happened, we drifted apart

You visited me, I saw you once or twice

Then the news came that you had died

I felt a part of me die with me that day

It hurt so much, that I wouldn't see you again

After all these years, I still miss you my friend

Remember The Heroes

They promised I would see the world
That I would be going places
To train me with all new skills
That the life of a soldier was for me

So I learnt to fight in Hell
Went to places I wanted to forget
I was shown how to kill
But you bond with best friends

Your best friend fights by your side
Helps you to get through another day
Is always there to share in a smile
You never want your best friend to go

But my best friend died today
Took a bullet that was meant for me
I cried for my best friend today
We were a long way from home

Will I ever see home again?
Be in the arms of the one I love?
Or am I destinied to die here?
Another soldier, so far from home

But if I was to bite the bullet this day
I know I did it, defending my country
Making sure the terror I see, never goes home
I am a soldier and please remember my name

Remember me, how I stood proud against the enemy
Remember me, last moment may be my last
Remember me, because this is what I must do
Remember us, we are all the brave hearts

I am not a soldier but this is a tribute for us to remember our heroes.

Proud Diana

She watches from high above

For that son she does love

A princess on a Heavenly cloud

For her young prince she is proud

He has proposed to his lady sweet

The woman that makes his heart beat

In Heaven his mother will now sing

For he gave his love a special ring

With Heavenly wings, she jumps for joy

You can hear her say, "that's my boy"

On that royal wedding you can pray

She will be there in spirit that day

Ode To Vincent Price

He was the man who would terrify me.

I would be lost in the madness of his eyes.

I would enjoy how he would scare me.

He would creep up on me by surprise.

Hearing his voice gave me a chill.

His horror would make me shiver.

Watching him was always a thrill.

Waiting for the lines he would deliver.

Now he has been taken away.

His movies are timeless forever.

I always loved what he would say.

His wickedness seemed so clever.

I will always watch you, our Vincent.

You were always the master, my friend.

I for one thought you were magnificent.

I will continue to watch you until the very end.

Neva Flores

Never has such a beautiful heart
Ever been beating, never apart
Visions of perfection in a friend
Always there, to care and tend

Few will see, how special you are
Love you give that is felt from afar
Only you, make us alive, make us pure
Relaxing us with words, true and sure
Each time you visit, is a special day
Showing sweet harmony in our own way

Moon Walk

When you look up at the stars tonight.

And you see the moon shining down.

Take a little closer look, what do you see?

Because if you believe in Angels up there.

You will see an Angel doing the Moon Walk

Michael

Farewell to you, Michael.

You lived your life as a thriller.

You raised above the accusations.

Proved that you could beat it.

You were a talented star.

Millions adored you, black or white.

The media always shadowed your reflection.

When you were the man in the mirror.

You always had the songs to sing.

You always had words to say, say, say.

No matter what they put you through.

We would never see you scream.

In Heaven now you sing for Angels.

They can now hear your earth song.

In memory of the talented Michael Jackson
