She

She is the brightest Sun.
She is the web the spider spun.

She is the candle light.
She is my second sight.

She is the beauty in my mind.
She is my faith in human kind.

She is the blue of the sky.
She is the voice of a seagulls' cry.

She is the leaves on the tree.
She is the movement of the sea.

She is the clouds high above.
She is the woman that I love.

Shattered Dreams

Nothing is as it seems

Living out shattered dreams

With false promises we make

And the ones we always break

Knowing what we must

Never knowing who to trust

Always letting somebody down

With our sorrows we drown

Never knowing what to do

Trying to always be true

And having no way of knowing

And these thoughts still growing

My heart is always broken

Taking my love like a token

My thoughts are my own

In the life I have sown

Sharp Emotions

She has much to offer life,

But she still uses the knife.

Puts it next to her wrist,

Cuts deep with a twist.

Closes her eyes as it hurts now.

Wish she saw hope somehow.

She really wanted him to stay,

Now her life slowly ebbs away.

If I could hold her, I would.

Comfort her if I could.

Show her there are others who care,

Show her there is someone there.

Sharp emotions she will feel.

This pain is all too real.

Taking her life with too much ease.

Will there be someone to love her, please.

Shallow Can Be The Soul

Shallow can be the soul

For it comes for every man

The heart break that he will find

When he thought everything was right

Only to now be proved to be wrong

And you will have to forget the past

Maybe the heart can still grow

And you can find the light again

To come and ignite your inner self

To learn to forgive and to forget

To let go feelings of desolation

And find feelings of atonement

To forgive others, first forgive yourself

There is always two sides to every story

We can live in our inner judgement

And sometimes the punishment benefits the crime

For sometimes we must move on, because ;

Shallow can be the soul

Shadows On The Wall

We look for the glimmer of hope
Some are looking for it still
They find it very hard to cope
Stripped of their own will

We sometimes face ourselves
Rising up, only to fall
Life is like keeping empty shelves
Talking to the shadows on the wall

Life really makes no sense
We try to figure it all out
Paying for it at our own expense
Never heard when we shout

Lonliness can be a curse
When no one heeds our call
Never getting better, only worse
Left talking to the shadows on the wall

Shadows Of My Former Self

Sometimes when life passes you by
Do you feel you have been left on the shelf
And no matter how had you try
You feel you are shadows of your former self

Always feel that people are laughing at you
And when you are trying to do your best
It is never good enough, whatever you do
And there are times you just need a rest

No one is there to offer a helping hand
So you have to face another day all alone
But you wish someone was there to understand
Or someone would be at the other end of a phone

Shadows In The Fog

There is a sound from behind you,
You turn and there is nothing there.
You carry on walking this lonely path,
Alone, with your vision obscured.

This dense fog came out of nowhere,
And you feel those shivers deep inside.
The cold penetrates through your coat,
You wish you had taken another way home.

That sound of snapping twigs comes again,
You see something in the corner of your eye.
You turn quickly to face what it must be,
But once again, there is nothing there.

As you turn and you quickly walk on,
You catch that glimpse once again.
Just that little bit out of your full vision,
Only a vague sight of those shadows in the fog.

You see the beginning of the street lamps ahead,
And as you hear those sounds once more, you run.
You heart is pumping fast and you feel it now,
That icy hand of fear gripping hold of your soul.

The safety of the lights make this fog now bearable,
You smile at yourself for being scared of maybe nothing.
You look behind you, back at the way you had come,
Then you hear dark laughter from the shadows in the fog.
