Today I woke up facing this new day
No troubles to face, I will pray
No news of any war and no news of trouble
No problems coming my way that will double
Today I am now thinking about you
And what today will put you through
Will you also dream of a better World, too
Will you also dream the sky will stay blue
Today let this World be filled with hope
And not have us hanging on the end of a rope
May all the people go out in sunshine
And may this day turn out so fine
Today I want to be different from the rest
I want everything to be for the best
Can every other passing day
Be as wonderful that is today
