There was a time

When I believed in peace

Believe nothing would go wrong

I never thought of war

I thought I would always be strong



But I was always wrong

And nothing seemed to go right

Always playing the same old song

The rope was always too tight



There was a time

When I never had you

And love seemed so far away



There was a time

When I was still alone

And could never find the words to say



That I would be wrong

Love would come and find me

I would play you a love song

My life would no longer be empty



There was a time

But now that time is passed

That time is so far above



There was a time

But now that time is no more

That time gave me your love
